Are the houses in this picture mansions or average houses?

1. those are mansions...haven't you ever seen them before...let's move there :)
2. Hard to tell due to the scale and angle but, at least where I am (Michigan), they'd be considered upscale homes but not necessarily mansions.

4. Overall, I would say they are between an average home and a mansion. They are large expensive homes, but don't appear to be mansions.
5. It's hard to tell from the air, but we can see large lots, water access, and swimming pools. You have to figure that these are upscale, and not average houses. But one man's mansion is another man's cottage. With the prices I'm seeing these days, they're all mansions..
6. I would say they are mansions, but the properties are not large estates. Most have pools, and of course the lakefront. One of them has a 12-car garage... that's impressive.
7. Average housing for Upper Middle Class.
