websites for making your own directions Maps?

are there any websites to pick your own route and they'll tell you the distance and mileage, i think i know a faster way to work but i would like to map myself out and see if i'm right, Thanks i'm trying to save on gas (V8)

1. www.mapquest.com They give you the option of choosing fastest, shortest routes, plus you can exclude highways,tolls, etc. if you choose. Plus they are very accurate with the directions I've gotten from them. Hope this helps.
2. google maps does this keep in mind that most websites won't necessarily have the up to date information on construction or traffic which would make routes slower or faster.
