How to show WALKING not DRIVING directions via google maps?
Driving directions are great, but in a town of one way streets, when the goal is to walk from point A to point B, wanted to know if there is a way to show WALKING directions via google maps. Thanks.

- If they don't offer this it will be a good idea to start thinking about it. Good Job!
- You can get the general directions and then use Google earth to plot out a path. Check www.walkscore.com/ to see how walkable is the place you are wanting to go.
- There isn't a simple way to do that, I haven't seen a feature that alternates between the 2, the closest I've seen is the "no highway" option. Although, if you were to zoom in (at least it's like this on Mapquest) you can see arrows on one way streets showing the direction of traffic on that particular road. Hope this helps.
- Google currently does not offer walking directions. I suggest using the driving directions, printing it, looking at the google map and then just jot down some direction edits. There shouldn't be to many changes. You know what's funny though? Google directions from like New York, NY to London, England...google will tell you to swim accross the Atlanic.
- use the driving directions but instead of driving just walk along the route
- Try Ask Maps for walking directions: http://maps.ask.com There's also Google Transit, but only for a small number of places: http://www.google.com/transit For England, there's http://www.walkit.com/
