Do women possess maps or the ability to seek and follow directions to a location BEFORE setting out?
BTW I do not hesitate to stop and ask for directions when I have not had the foresight or wherewithall to have obtained a map or accurate directions beforehand...AND I am not alone as a man who is tired of hearing the negative stereotype that men don't stop to ask for directions. Is it time yet for women to realize that ALL negative stereotyping leads to misunderstandings and negativity? When will women become equal to all the millions of men who already get it? My soulmate and I - both humanists...not feminists nor male"ists" - were wondering how many of you obsessive instant answerers were poised at your keyboards on a Sunday morning answering inane trivial questions...I said many, she said almost none. We also wagered on what percent would attack the asker instead of even attempting to answer the question...we both thought more than half. We wondered if anyone would connect this to Queen Clinton's reference to this negative stereotype on Letterman last week. Result...we were both right and both wrong. Thanks for the survey.

- Mapquest ,baby ,eliminates that.
- stop your whining. everybody gets it. people just do it anyway. even you through this question.
- is this a real question, or just a rant? whenever we GIRLS go on a trip we always have more than one map printed out from mapquest, and someone who has already gone there driving. Some guys don't like admiting that they need help. Thats why they dont ask for directions. Some girls dont like admiting they need help.
- No, woman will look up the information before setting out when your not looking, that way they can make you feel inferior to them. They will also direct an argument away from what the real argument is about to make them right and you wrong. Just agree or pretend you are impressed with their abilty to "problem solve" and you can't go wrong!!
- Is this your biggest problem in life?
- You just got yelled at by someone for not knowing where you were going didn't you? Well like people have pointed out MapQuest, Yahoo Maps, etc, really do eliminate all of the major guesswork in finding directions. Although it is true that a lot of men do not want to ask for directions because of our egos...that's all it is.
