1. Their weather is dominated by the effects of the great lakes. It gets very cold there in the winter with a lot of what is known as lake effect snow. That, however, tends to taper off as the lakes freeze over. The city has a public transportation system, but no rail system that I am aware of. The topographical features are largely flat because it is on a coastal plain created by the lakes. The best source for the information that you seek would be to ask the Chamber of Commerce in Buffalo. A simple letter addressed to the Chamber of Commerce, Buffalo, NY should get it there. They'll be more than happy to send you the information that you want.
