topo maps and slopes?
if u were asked what the most gentle slope of something was by looking at the contour lines, i know that when the closer the lines are the steeper the slope, but there is this one area that has a huge gap before the next contour line. its a pond, and there are no contour lines running through it. so would that mean it has a gentle slope? thanks for any help!

- no, it is level. a pond on a slope would lose water. it would not stay in a slope
- no because it is flat because there is no contour lines
- ponds would be represented by closed contours, it would look like a circle and it would be specified as a body of water... it can reside in between contour lines, but usually, ponds would have their own contours...
