What are the three types of photography used in map work?

I need to know what kind of photography is used i.e Aerial...It would be very useful if you had any other information regarding these types of photography! Thanks a lot...

1. Satellite imagery (remote sensing satellite) along with GIS systems is used for cartography (map making) . Googles map, is one example.
