Aerial View Maps

Why haven't mapping sites updated their aerial pictures?

There is a beautiful new sports stadium in the east side of Allentown, PA, but the latest aerial view from any of the map sites, at best only shows partial construction of the stadium.

  1. Aerial photography is expensive, and is usually conducted by NOAA and other agencies at specific intervals.
  2. What, how often do you expect them to update photos? I would be lucky if it happens once ever 2 or 3 years. They should just have somebody fly over Allentown, PA every day just to be sure.
  3. aerial/satellite photography is expensive, and there's a lot of area out there to cover. Plus, a lot of the sites that show this seem to get their pictures from the same source. Go to Google Earth, yahoo maps, mapquest, etc, and show the same place. Odds are, the images are identical.
