Satellite imagery help!!?

Hi I am looking for a free satellite image download and I do not want Google earth something that is not great but not bad like this http://www.ga.gov.au/map/ help I need it for oceanographic research for school

1. There are a bunch of links to a variety of shots on the usgs site: http://www.usgs.gov/pubprod/aerial.html#galleries but most of them have a price...I haven't checked them all however so there may be free info yet
