where can I buy topo maps for each state from 1800's - 1950's?

i want topography maps of all states from the 1800's to around 1950 showing ALL towns that no longer exsit such as so called ghost towns and cemeteries

1. Sanborn Fire Insurance maps are the best that I am aware of. You can also get free topo's from MapTech.
2. Try and contact the United States Geologicical Services Department. They will have all the old topo maps from just about anywhere you can think of. This is their website. http://www.usgs.gov/ Good Luck!
