Joining The Marines as a Combat Photographer But Thinking of !Force Recon!?

Hello. I'm considering the military.USMC to be specific. I want to do something I enjoy in order to better serve. I see that only the Marines offer any sort of photography job I'd like.(Air force has aerial, right? Not interested.) I've heard that you could 'try out' and if you weren't up to snuff you could do something else. Could I enlist for force recon and then train for Combat Photography if I can't make it,Or train for combat photography and then go Recon if I had the right stuff? I might not even get that far though. I have a very loving mother who keeps telling me that she wants me to go Air Force because any other branch will guarantee death on my part.Either from her or from enemy fire... Thanks

1. You cant just apply to Force Recon..You must first be a Recon Marine for (x) amount of time before you get the chance to try out for Force.. And your wanting to be a photographer and then your talking about Force Recon..You could not of have chosen two very very opposite ends of the MOS stick If you want any form of special operations you might want to choose the 0300 infantry MOS..I dont see a photographer getting accepted or enjoying a Recon position..
