Why 2009 Mars Balloon Project (Mars society ) Is not more about Image than to data that is available from NASA

Archimedes Project a 2009 Mars prove that consist of a 10 Meter balloon with instrument for atmospheric analysis...Most atmospheric analysis is readily available from nasa ....Why Mars Society is wasting meager resources that could be invested on a Image ( aerial photography of the planet ) which could be promoted on websites and bring more revenue for future project's ....Mr Zubrin a top scientist from Mars Society propose a flotilla of small balloons able to carry image capabilities with off the shelf technology ....

2. And what is your question? Robert Zubrin, an engineer, proposed the idea of Mars balloons several years ago and he is not the first or only person to do so. The balloon is a platform. It could carry equipment to observe the atmosphere at a particular point. That would be like observing the Mars weather while at the same time a camera takes high definition pictures of the ground. The surface of Mars is about the same size as all the continents of Earth together and photographs from space do not give full details. Neither do a few atmospheric observations from space or from two or three landers. The Mars Society is a private organisation and they can do as they please short of criminal enterprise.
