  1. be a photographer's assistant at a photo studio. you may not actually take a lot of pictures, but you will be able to learn a lot and it will look great on your college applications. start taking portraits yourself! start taking your friend's senior portraits for free/cheap until you can work up an awesome portfolio and actually charge more. check out your local cafes/galleries and see if they'd be willing to buy some prints from you. get really good at band photography and shoot for local bands! just put your mind to it. :] there are tons of things you could do.
  2. Good Job !! but 16 years old couldn't find a photography job,you must work as freelance photographer by yourself.
  3. I got an internship through school at a local photography place for a semester. Got me a job there.
  4. Well I assume photographers still use assistants. The last time I checked most did and it wasn't that long ago. The work isn't exactly glamorous, even if you had work for a big name photographer, and even less so if like most people you work for a normal photographer. It is however a very good way to learn alot about the profession. Things like how to set up a shoot, not to mention how to carry heavy equipment and not whine about it. Most likely if you do this you'll be working under someone who does mostly portraits or if your lucky one of the architectural guys (always found them impressive). Anyway quite often photographers are looking for some extra help. You probably won't take any pictures and the closest you may come to using a camera may be replacing batteries, and packing flashes, lenses, filters,.... (Why do we need all that stuff anyway?) but as I said it's a very educational experience and it's a chance to see if you really want to be a photographer.
  5. lots of jobs in photography at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/sellingyourphotography
  6. You can either become a free lance photographer (i included an article i found for 5 tips on how to do that) or you can find a site online that can pay you for the pictures that you submit... they do not care about an age limit! With your parents permission that would be your best bet!
