Aerial Photography question.?
An aerial photo flight is made with a camera having a 6 inch focal length. If you know that the absolute scale of the photo is 1:13,750 at the 2,575' elevation, what is the absolute scale at 1,500 feet.

- firstly photography is meteric, so your lens is a 150mm i get that part, 1500 feet ok thats 500 meters about, scale get that bit............................2,575 elevation - dont get that is it feet again? if so then its an easy calculation.......but the first fiquires seem wrong anyway...........whats the crop factor of the sensor if digital?? or are you using 35mm film or what a
- I don't think that the focal length of the lense is a factor. As long as you don't change the lense, the scale should be proportional to the height. Off the top of my head I would say 1,500 / 2,575 * 13,750 which I calculate to be: 1:8010 to the nearest integer.
