Aerial View Maps

I need a map that avoids major cities?

I tried mapquesting driving directions but it does not allow me to avoid major cities, please help I leave this afternoon from illinois to mass. and I was told mapquest allowed you to change your route and I cant get it to do so . I am travelling from freeport il to southwick mass if that helps

2. map it yourself. i once traveled the entire state of kansas (north to south) using only dirt roads in the 80's. did it all from a GOOD road map.
