Digitizing Google Earth images for GIS projects? Using ArcView?
I am having a difficult time finding good free satellite imagery online for my GIS projects. Is it possible to digitize a Google Earth image since it is a free source with relatively good images? Is it possible to have it be projected right when combined with other layers in ArcView? Will I have to have it georeferenced? Sorry, I am a new GIS student and have some dumb questions :) Thanks

- Well, I'm not a GIS student, but when I need pictures or something off of Google Earth, I get the image that I want displayed completely on the screen, then press the Print Screen (Print scr) key on the keyboard. Usually it is located above the insert, home, end, and delete buttons on the keyboard. Press the button and you wont notice anything, but then you open up Paint or a similar program and press Paste (Ctrl+V) and the image should paste onto it. After that, crop or change the image to your likings, then put it into ArcView. Hope it solved your problem!
