So at what age should a girl be OK with opening the door to strangers while she is alone?

if a girl is home alone and someone she doesn't know comes over (like to sell aerial photographs, for example) should she answer the door? how old should she be before doing this? hahhaha btw i am 16 and scared out of my wits of scary rapists coming over.

  15. If you are that scared I would not answer the door unless you know who it is. I am 23 and still get scared...sometimes I won't answer. I always keep the phone with me at all times...sleep with a bat under my bed and a knife in my dresser...so I understand.
  16. I'm 43 and I never, ever open the door to anyone that I don't know and don't expect to be coming over. You can never take any chances at any age. Think of it this way, they may think you are rude but you will be safe -- and that's all that matters.

  22. I'm 38 and don't open the door to strangers. Unless it's the police, fire department, or I'm expecting someone (and all of my friends know to call before coming over). But these random salespeople...nope...that's what the peephole is for. If you live in a rural area, it's not a big deal, but if you live in the city, you need to be guarded.

  25. I don't think there is a safe age - 60 maybe? Don't open the door if you are alone and don't know who's there....if they continue to knock/ring, call a neighbor, friend or police.....always be safe. good girl.

  50. Always ask who it is.get them to pass id through letter box with a telephone number on it.to confirm through the company,then if happy let them in. And also,go online and look up the human rights act 1998. your covered by loads,,,its worth a look. trust me...know your rights. There is no age limit,never ansewser the door to someone you dont know.
