Where can I get aerial photos of Danang Air base 1970 south end where ammo supply was at.?
Need to know the name of road and the small river that we had to cross by wooden ferry going from Camp Hover Seabee base to the ammo supply depo that we were building on the air base. We would leave our base and go right and go around the south end of the air base on an outer road cross the small river and go back north for miles and hit a road that took you right along the airstrip to get to the ammo supply shelter we were building. The ammo supply was only 2 miles from our base but for some reason we had to travel about 25 miles to get to it buy going around the south end.

- Aerial photos from 1970 are going to be pretty difficult to get. The best advice I can give you is try a historian from that era. UAV were not used obviously so either satellite or fast movers had to have taken photos in order for them to be there. No single veteran would know if those pictures exist. Your going to have to go to someone higher up. Good luck though. I would be interested in seeing them if you get them.
- i'm sure that things have changed quite a bit since '70, but i'd download Google Earth and give it a try. i'm willing to bet that some of the buildings might still be up, and the same roads are probably there as well.
