Aerial View Maps

What was Google Street View actually created for?

I mainly look at it out of curiousity, to explore, and, ahem, "stalk", if you will. But what constructive/meaningful purpose is it for? I mean, traditional aerial maps are good enough to find places.

1. why is map is created for that would be an answer for ur question
2. its a good way to check out a house your about to buy or something like that.... i usually use it for when i have a meeting or interview to go to, and i need to check out the best way to get there with out any dramas(traffic). you can see road signs telling you no right turn or whatever, when you do need to make a right turn into that street, so you can look around for another way. you can not tell that on melways......
