Aa Road Maps Knowledge Base
Where can I buy road maps of Turkey and Georgia? I need to buy some road maps of Turkey and Georgia. I am looking for a similar sort of publication to the AA Road Maps books that are available for the UK. Is anyone aware of where I could buy these on the internet? They need to be in 'book' format as they are a gift so I don't want printed pages for a website.
What is the best road atlas for france? I was going to get the AA 2008 one, but I have read a bad review which says it is only good for the motorways, the smaller roads are not mapped out so well. Thanks in advance!

Is this an ironic thing to happen? I did my placement for my University course about 5 miles from my University. The whole of my course are now exploring maps, and digital models of the place where I did my placement. It was just coincidence, and has made the course that much easier. Others did their placement elsewhere. Is this ironic, just coincidence, or both? Does irony have to involve someones short coming? I.e. You work for the AA, and have been fixing cars all day on the road. You drive home, you break down. You need to call the AA.
I'm getting ready to buy a Magellan handheld GPS "Satellite Navigator". Says "No good for streets" but camping? My question is, if it doesn't work for streets, how will it work for camping? Will I be able to use it anywhere but the back country? Should I invest in a better one, or get this one just for camping? Would a normal one work for the back country too?? THANKS, here's the posted inf: MAGELLAN GPS 300 "SATELLITE NAVIGATOR" ....Includes manual and original box ....Portable, hand-held ....Tracks 12 satellites ....24 hour batt life on 2 aa batteries ....Waterproof ....Mark your route with up to 100 stored positions. ....Keeps a turn by turn record of your track in and out. ....Great for geocaching, hunting, hiking and exploring -- even fishing in remote areas. ....DOES NOT HAVE ROAD/STREET MAP CAPABILITIES.
Failed first driving test? I've read all the similar questions posted here and on other websites...so I guess I'm looking for a confidence boost, a bit of venting and any tips as to what else I can do to maximise my chances next time. Got a new job 12 miles away that I'm having to cycle to since public transport around here is so crap...so I figured driving would be a good backup plan. Passed the theory back in March after flicking through the books and DVDs for a week. Got about 15 hours ADI lessons and another 5 privately thanks to gracious neighbours over the last 2 months. Stupid enough to buy a banger that was going for a real bargain, in good nick and local. Then in the test today one minor for not stopping soon enough at a zebra and a serious for pulling out when the car behind me was slowing down and moved to the left side of the lane....i was asked to pull over in between some parked cars, so it seemed like that driver was parking. Needless to say, I pulled out and picked up speed only to find that damned car fairly close behind me. There you go, I did something stupid trying to avoid minors for hesitation. I've googled all the local test routes, plotted them on a map and used streetview to familiarise myself with the roads. Been reading the DSA and AA driving guides. Absorbing a set of practical DVDs I found on ebay courtesy of another driving school. Next test date is 6 weeks away, but I've got a software that automatically checks for earlier cancellations and texts, just so i'm not obsessively refreshing the DSA booking page. What else can/should I be doing? Don't really want to pay for more lessons I can ill afford when even the examiner said 'apart from that one mistake, it was a very good drive'. *hits head on keyboard* dpsifspidujfsdi
