where can I find a printable full detail, all roads and cities, US road map? Please help I'm leaving for a road trip in 6 days and I can't find a road map online that has all roads and cities. I need a printable map so I can plot out the course, does anyone know of a website where I can find one? Thanks

Can I enter Canada by Road from any location on the US border? I shall be planning a trip to Ontario from Washington,DC on ROAD and will be entering from I-81 (as per the google maps). I am on a work visa in USA and wants to know if tourists are permitted to enter Canada from US border or there are specific points for entry. I can read maps but do not understand them. HELP! Can you tell me where to find info on driving in the USA? I travel to the United States each summer but it is usually a mess. We rent a car and start our road trip. It would be helpful if I knew how to understand reading road maps. I would also like to know what the road signs means. Example there are numbers such as 875 and i-75. I was told that i-95 is like the one major road in the US but we get confused when we see all of the other numbers. However, I must say even with our limited knowledge we were able to drive from Florida to New Jersey. Also tell me how was it possible for us to drive through Savannah, North Carolina and all the other places and not go into Alabama and Tenneesee?
What is a good road conditions website on the internet? We (my girlfriend and I) are looking for a site that can tell us explicitly what to expect on route from Santa Fe, NM to Los Angeles, CA. We tried the Yahoo one (Weather Channel.com) and that was not very informative, as well as the official New Mexico and Colorado state Webpages for road maps.... Are we just going to the wrong sites? Can you travel the US off road? A buddy and I want to start working on a big a$$ rail buggy, and I was wondering if you could actually travel to other states staying primarily on trails and dirt roads. I realize that you may have to get on a highway, but would it actually be possible to go from New Mexico (where I live) to say South Carolina or to Colorado taking all back country? Advice for a US road trip? We are going to drive a campervan around Europe. What are the best maps for us to get hold of? We are taking six months, and will be visiting about 17 countries....We are going to get Lonely Planet guides for all the countries we are going to....but I am not sure what are the best maps. We will need good detail on roads...I guess thats obvious....but does anyone have any recommendations? thank you for pointing that out, we are both British so no problems there. my friend got us lost on a road trip so had to backtrack for three hours through france, what do i do? we were all on a road trip trying to get from birmingham to gueret in france and left one of our mates in the car to read the map and direct us there for the trip as they claimed to know how to read a map and could understand french. Problem was he managed to get us lost for about three hours and so we left him in cholet at the first service station we saw cause we were all that annoyed and then tried to get there without him which took another 2 hours to do leaving us all pretty pissed off and tired by the time we got there pretty much ruining the holiday. how do we get him to apologise?

Why won't Google Maps let me take US-93 from Phoenix to Las Vegas? I want to drive from Phoenix, AZ to Provo, UT through Las Vegas. When I get directions from MapQuest, I eventually merge onto US-93 in Arizona and stay on it until I merge onto I-15 in Las Vegas. But when I get directions from Google Maps it has me merge onto US-93 and then merge onto AZ-68 and eventually get back on US-93/US-95 to merge onto I-15 in Las Vegas. AND it won't really let me change the route. Am I crazy? Or does Google know something the rest of us don't (like some secret road closure)?
I'm planning a Europe road trip in March. What's the best toubook/road map book out there? I'm a budget minded traveler and am interested in the single best tourbook complete with roadmaps. I want it to be the single "bible" that guides us through our trip. It would be nice if this book contained budget hotels and/or subway maps. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Planning a road trip across the US? I am planning on taking a road trip across the contiguous US (It's an item on my bucket list.) I was planning on taking a year off to do this, staying a week in each state. (2 weeks in larger states like Texas and California.) I have ordered state guides and maps to plan out the best route so that I can see everything I want in the 1-2 week timeframe. Do you think a week is long enough to see everything I want to see? How much money do you think I would need in total for lodging, gas, food, souvenirs, admittance fees for parks and museums, laundry (I'll have to eventually wash my clothes) etc? I don't plan on taking this trip for at least 3 to 4 years, (I want to finish college first), but any help would be appreciated.

This is for a childs report on Gonzales Texas.We can not find a good map of the entire state of Texas with Gonzales and the Guadalupe river on it in relation to the rest of the state for his "Come and Take It" report. we can find all types of maps of cities(sans Gonzales),rivers by themselves, counties and other maps but none with Gonzales and the river. please help if you know exactly where we can copy one from. hubby/dad will not let us cut any Texas maps out of his many road maps.

GPS with canada maps also good for bicycling? I'm looking for a portable GPS that I can use for driving in the US and Canada and can mount on my bicycle for road trips. I think the garmin nuvi 500 is good, but no Canada maps. Any advice? I think the garmin nuvi 550 will do the trick! I don't care so much about elevation, but at least this one has CA maps.

Costa Rica GPS Costa Rica, gps garmin etrex nuvi, maps costa rica? I will be traveling Costa Rica in late November for two months. I am planning my trip now. Me and my buddies will be 4x4, surfing and hiking. We need a good Costa Rica gps map to help us hike through the jungles of Osa Peninsula, find good surfing spots along the Peninsula de Nicoya - start in Malpais then drive up to Tamarindo. I look at Costa Rica GPS maps on line but they are all just turn by turn gps devices. I need something that I can view on my PC to plan the trip then use my Garmin GPS device in Costa Rica to hike and drive on the back roads. I like traveling like a local. I try and stay away from Interstate roads when I travel. Not just turn by turn directions. If anyone know of a place where i can get Costa Rica GPS for us on hiking trails and road Costa Rica GPS map and use it on my pc to plan out my trip then I would really appreciate it! I have a etrex device and a Garmin Nuvi. I am also going to Nicaragua. I doubt anyone makes a Nicaragua GPS. I may just hire a guide. Good educational sights in the US, for a road trip? due to special circumstances, I will have a semester off (which is about three-four months). I want to take a road trip and see some of the USA. This'll happen in the spring, most likely. I set off from CT. I haven't made a definite plan yet, but I'm making a map, which at the moment is not in geological order. But, basically, it circles the country. I'm hoping to see the "tourist sights" in Washington, California, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, Illinois, North Carolina, Louisiana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. Most of the sights I've selected, however, are parks and things like that. how do i update my garmin street pilot to have updated maps? i just got a refurbished gps system 2 weeks ago and it doesnt have updated maps. when i type in babies r us, it leads me to their corporate office, same thing with other stores. it also doesnt have the current new roads that were made this year. also when i click on traffic, it asks me to plug in the traffic receiver. what is that?!?!?
My 10 week old kitten bites and hates any kind of affection. How do i get her to stop biting and harassing us? I got my kitten Mocha from my friend down the street. This was her cats second litter (all girls). My kitty was the prettiest of them all, along with the most playful and the one who sleeps the most. Her mother was a calico and her father was a yellow striped tabby cat. Ive had her since she was a bout six and a half weeks old. Since then I've noticed she has a strange obsession with feet, toes, and fingers. (oh and flip flops?!? lol) We've provided her with over the desired or needed amount of toys. My father even made her a home made scratching post!! It has little toys hanging off of it! She has a store bought scratching post, kitty cubicle, and plenty of mice toys and jingle balls. We've been trying the whole squirt her with water method to keep her from attacking us or from getting into things she shouldn't, but this method doesn't seem to work. Ive tried pressing her tongue down when she bites me and water. No matter how many times this poor cat gets soaked to the bone, she continues to do it anyways. Right now my arms, hands, feet, and legs look like road maps for the back woods part of Georgia... I don't know what else to do. I distract her, i spray her, I've done everything I know how but she just doesn't catch the idea to stop. She absolutely hates being petted. If you even act like you're going to pet her she bites and claws you to no end. I would just like for her to stop biting because my mother is diabetic and cant have any kind of wounds/sores on her feet. Is there anything else i can do to teach mocha to stop her less than perfect behavior? I am doing a road trip from Seattle, Washington to San Francisco, California.? The way the map tells us to go is down I-5 which takes about 12-13 hours. But I have heard that taking the coastal road down is pretty amazing. However this adds an extra 8 hours to our trip. I am looking for insight to see if the scenery is worth the extra 8 hours. What "Road Map" star is the closest to the Constellation Orion? I have to do a constellation project for school, and for part of it we have to find "road map" stars closest to our chosen constellation. My science teacher calls them Road Map stars, but he really means the stars like the North Star :P He gave us a chart but it is very confusing. Road Trip Help? My husband is in the Army and we are getting stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma...The Army is giving us 4 days to travel from Fort Drum, New York to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Why can't I use street view on google maps in some countries? When I go to use street view on Google Maps in some countries like the US and UK, I can "drive" around, turn left and right, look down the roads, etc. But I tried using street view in North Korea, China and Russia, and it wouldn't work... I would just get pictures. No streets to drive down/control where I'm looking, just pictures of places. Is there a reason for this?

Where can I find a map that lists forest service roads for north carolina? I'm trying to plan a camp as you go trip through the Pisgah National Forest or the Smokeys or maybe the Asheville area. I know a lot of those roads are closed in the winter, but I just want a map that will show us where these roads are. Topo and trails would be nice too.
Is this 6-day frugal road trip itinerary in Mid West US (covering 25 US States) good? I'm an international exchange student. Before leaving US this summer from JFK, I wish to drive around all 48 states. I live in West and have covered all West states. Since I dont own a car, I intend to rideshare from West, across the Rockies to Chicago. Rent a car from Chicago and do a loop across 25 states in 6 days. Day 1: Chicago - Minneapolis - Fargo (North Dakota) = 650 miles Day 2: Fargo - Kansas City 580 miles Day 3: Kansas City - Texarkana (TX) = 525 miles Day 4: Texarkana - Pensacola(FL) - Montgomery (AL) = 650 miles Day 5: Montgomery - Jellico(TN) = 480 miles (via Carolina states) Day 6: Jellico - Cincinnati - Chicago = 615 miles *Distances are approx and include deviations to and stops at state borders I intend to drive between 500 - 650 miles per day, and cover as much states as possible, also take pictures of welcome signs at state line borders. E.g. 'Welcome to Florida' My budget is limited. I just want to drive all states, and cover attractions if any, along this route. My concerns are: (1) Is it legal to pullover the car and sleep in the car atleast every alternate days, and save money? Maybe at some truck stops? Is it wise? Any other good place I could pullover and sleep for the night? (2) Do you think this drive is ambitious.. driving 600 miles/day for around 3500 miles? Do rental agencies allow unlimited mileage? Which is the agency I could approach for lowest prices? (3) Any good spots or places to visit along this route? Satelite Navigation or Road Map? I recently went on a journey where the car had a Satelite Navigation system. I found it to be the most annoying thing ever to be created. The womans voice kept reminding us to "turn left" ..."turn right". The journey seemed to take for ages. When we reached home. I looked it up in my trusty A-Z and realised we could have cut the journey by at least half an hour if we had followed the map down country lanes etc. Does anyone else think that this particular piece of technology is worth the money? The world wants to know what will the next US President wanting to do on key issues. Are the candidates ready? to indicate the direction. Only Hillary Clinton doing it methodically while the others are indulging in criticising her strategies. They have to grow higher than their present occupation of criticisms as senators / congressmen and come forward with well coceived road maps including their strategies. Except for Hillary all others in the race are proving not worthy of their candidature. They are not doing their home work well. They really do not have good campaign advisers. Some of them are talented but are inexperienced. Ron Paul has excellent fan following but no good advisers who can rise to the occassion and strategise on current events. It is going to be highly skewed in favour of Hillary Clinton as time progresses.

Map Drawing Software? I am looking for a program that will enable me to take a detailed road map of the US (or more specifically, Florida) and draw custom lines, pins, points of interest, etc... I work for a construction company, and whereas we will have a certified surveyor come to survey the land, we want a program that we can use (that is user friendly), that we can use simple lines, pin points and notes. In the end...we want a map that we can put all of our jobs on, with a start point, end point and everything in between, for all of our jobs. This way, if we have a question on a job, all we have to do is go back to this one program that has our company notes in it. Is there any program out there that would do something like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. As it stands right now, I am just taking an aerial map of the area that we are working on (for each job), then putting that image into Word and editing there...but we need something better. American Road Trip Plan.... Help? The Following is the plan I think I want to take but I'm not quite sure what I'll be able to see on it... I would like to see the Grand Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, Coyote Ugly Bar, Pacific Ocean, Statue of Liberty and Cities would be Las Vegas, and Miami or Orlando Leave Bismarck then get on Interstate 94 West. Interstate 94 later turns into Interstate 90 West. Take Interstate 90 to Interstate 101. Take Interstate 101 to Interstate 10. Take Interstate 75 South to the Tip of Florida. Take Interstate 95 up to the northeast. Switch over to I-90 and take that all the way back to Bismarck. What type of map would be best to use for directions and to keep track of mileage for a trucking company? With Map Quest and yahoo maps and directions they don't have roads favored by big rig tractor trailers. Sometimes we end up on a road that we aren't supposed to be on and or don't fit on because of the size of our vehicles. I am hoping someone may know of a website that can help us with directions favoring tractor trailers and could also help us with getting state mileage, it would be a great help. Thanks. I am planning to move to Canada in next couple of months so my techno adventurous instincts are kicking big time to buy a Hand held GPS / Navigator that can help me to find my ways in Canada. Can someone give me tips on driving from Chicago to Niagara Falls? I am taking the family on a road trip from Chicago to Niagara Falls (the Canadian side) and would appreciate any and all advice. Who writes the maps and information for Tom-Tom sat nav UK? I have a Tom-Tom sat nav set out on Monday "shortest" route to a theme Park in the West Midlands from our home. Ok for most of the route the suddenly sat nav directs us down this country lane (private road) single file track only room for one car wide 20mph road, got half way down this road gate across road spoke to two ladies cutting edge by gate they explained may people come down here sat nav blunder. Had to open gate carried on back to main route. OK i have a car was able to over come problem what if i had a large artic lorry would have been stuck. Who writes and checks these route map for sat nav's

why did god give us science to just contradict the bible? science has given us some wonderful things. just imagine your lives without science. we would not have any telephones, televisions, automobiles, electric power, artificial light, air conditioners, stoves, microwave ovens, clocks, buildings, roads, and the list goes on. because of science we have seen some incredible things like nuclear fission, the mapping of the genome, stem-cell research, creating synthetic materials, we can even arrange atoms at our will. if god created these wonderful laws that we have been able to use to such incredible lengths, then why did he create them to go against what is written in the bible. examples are: the age of the universe. every sign scientists have show that the universe is 16 or so billion years old, not 6,000. we even have carbon dating which goes by specific scientific principals of radioactive decay that show that the earth is far older that 6,000 years. creation. scientists have fossil remains from over a dozen obviously different species of humanoids that were definitely not monkeys that have existed through the last 4 million years. evolution. evolution has been seen in fossil remains over both the short and long terms. we have seen species that have changed certain characteristics over periods of time. the t-rex for instance evolved a narrower snout and widened head to increase vision. on the short term we can see insects that become resistant to insecticides and bacteria that become resistant to antibiotics. the great flood. in order to have the earth flood , the ice caps would have had to melt, yet we can analyze core samples of the caps that date back millions of years. if you have any doubts to the validity of this, look them up. there is no way i can provide all the information in a small column to validate this. so if you have questions, look into it. information is free. as you can see, this column is already too long =P there is so much more, why would god create science to contradict most of the bible?
