Anyway to make a Mio C230 GPS with Asia software work with USA maps? Hi. I bought a Mio GPS in Singapore but realised that the chip or whatever it has in it is zone specific. Is there anyway to make it work with USA maps and if so, where can I get it for testing. I don't mind paying if it works.

will usa maps show in britain on tom tom sat nav? i've downloaded USA maps onto my Tom Tom one sat nav 2nd edition it says that all the updates are complete, but when i turn the sat nav on the maps don't show for america, only britain. i thought this might be because i'm am in britain at the moment and it hasn't picked up the satellites for it but i am worried that i will get to america and won't have them is there anyone who can tell me if this is normal for them not to show or whether i need to contact tom tom. thanks in advance xx

Winter Olympic 2010, when they introduce countries, why do they use USA map as reference? I'm watching the Winter Olympic 2010. As of now, they are introducing the countries. When each country come out, the lower left corner of the TV shows where the country is on the world map. Why do they show USA map first (as the reference) before showing that country's spot on the world map? Why not Canada?
I can read maps but do not understand them. HELP! Can you tell me where to find info on driving in the USA? I travel to the United States each summer but it is usually a mess. We rent a car and start our road trip. It would be helpful if I knew how to understand reading road maps. I would also like to know what the road signs means. Example there are numbers such as 875 and i-75. I was told that i-95 is like the one major road in the US but we get confused when we see all of the other numbers. However, I must say even with our limited knowledge we were able to drive from Florida to New Jersey. Also tell me how was it possible for us to drive through Savannah, North Carolina and all the other places and not go into Alabama and Tenneesee?

How many Native American Indians are in the USA? We didn't steal indian land. We got it through trade and war, you make it sound like it happened in one day - it happened over about 400 years, and some argue it's still going on now. Can someone show me a map of Mexico, USA, and Canada where the indians actually were in a country, keeping in mind at least in America, at no time were there every more than 9 million of them in a country that now has 300 million? Not dissing heritage, but 9 million peoples could never have stood up to any major force at that time. If it wasn't the Europeans, it would have been Spain and Portugal at least and like the other peoples that became extinct in Mexico, the Indians would have gone the same way. If I am not mistaken there's more indians in America now than their were then.

Does anybody see this on any USA map? There is a chef. The states that make it are Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana. I will tell you what state is what and you tell me if you see it on a US map. The chef faces the east coast. It is like a view from the side of the chef. Minnesota is the chef's hat. Iowa is most of it's head and the chef has a big nose. Missouri and Arkansas make the chef's belly. And Louisiana is the chef's feet and ankles. Does anybody else see this? Please answer.
