On Google Earth or Yahoo Maps are your directions to your house messed up.? The directions are so wrong that they don't even have a clue as to where my house is. Resently someone tried to follow these and they got hopelessly lost.

virtual directions using components like yahoo maps, google earth, etc.? i'm racking my brain right now to remember this website (free) or program (downloaded or paid for)...i don't remember but i saw one of my classmates on the computer showing me how to get from our campus to this other location. had pictures of the street from human's eye view (as opposed to bird's eye view...) showing street signs, store signs, etc. it was similar to google earth or yahoo maps, because you type in an address and it shows you a photo (and 360 view) of the location and pictures on the way to getting to that location. i know my description is all jumbled up, but i have no other way of explaining it, sorry

Whats going on with Google Earth? Many of the spots that I used to be able to zoom in on, are not as high a resolution as they used to be. I've reinstalled google earth to make sure it wasn't on my end..But it's still the same. Google maps shows these areas fine, so does bing earth, yahoo maps and so on..But in the google earth program it's like they switched some areas back to low resolution..Anyone know whats going on?

Google Earth has gone crazy with drawn in roads? I have had Google Earth on my computer for several years now. It seems to have gone nuts. Roads drawn in that do not exist, extensions of roads that do not exist. Very old images. Unfortunately this carries over to all Google maps, Mapqwest maps even some on Virtual Earth and USGS maps. Yes, on Yahoo maps too. And no place to request changes. Went looking for a better place. Heard of NASA World Wind. Don't bother downloading them! Not worth your time, unless you are really into weather maps. If you are looking for more up to date Ariel images, try http://maps.live.com. No downloading, just use them. So far they are the best I have found. Have you found up to date Ariels? Would you share that with us? Latest version of Earth. Dates on the bottom of images are not the actual date of the image. John - Who asked for LIVE pictures? Just those that MIGHT be accurate and more up to date than the ones mentioned in the post. I don't need to see you sitting on your porch, just accurate maps of places, without all the drawn-in inaccurate roads I have found on the maps available. But thanks for the input.

How many of you think Yahoo beats Google? Why? Why are airports blotched out on Google Earth? Every time I log on Google Earth, it seems like more and more is being blotched out. I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me at first, but this is turning into a major annoyance. Just trying to find my flight school there, but it's proving impossible. Where can i find updated pictures of my neighborhood? Hi, i'm looking for updated pictures from about maybe a month or updated like a week ago. I'm looking for pictures of my neighborhood in Galveston,TX where Hurricane Ike hit last year. I don't live their currently because there are barely any houses on the market that are cheap. I lived on the West end of the island for a about two and a half years and would like to know how it is doing. I've searched EVERY map possible, yet all maps are about a year or so old. Ok, I am a little frustrated so need advice.? Ok, i am making this website for a local company and the start date was 9/14/07 . I waited months and months for them to get me the information i needed. Now it is 5/2/08 and i finally got some information and i have completed the iste to thier satisfaction, so i thought. They wanted a map, i have given them 2 different ones, a yahoo map and google earth map showing directions from North, east, south and west. at first they were so happy with it, today i get a n email after i have told them that the site is complete and final payment is due, that they want to can the map. now they want text with directions from North , east, south and west of their building and a different map... OMG what do these people want?? Are they delaying the final payment? are they really not happy? Or are they just not understanding how websites are created? what would you do in a situation like this?? I have chnaged this iste 3 times already because towards the end, they change it all over again!

What is the geo-location of the "Bliss" image used by WinXP showing the green hill top. Lat-Long Google Earth? I've always wondered if the faint outlines over the hill on the right are housetops. With Google Earth or, if it's in the U.S., Yahoo or Google Maps, I could look at the area with a satellite view and pan around. I've wondered about the locations that the other images were taken from, too. The beach view, the sand dunes, and now, in the new version of Win7, there's all new places to wonder where the photos were taken. That Lat-Long looks very good as the loc. I downloaded IE7 with Yahoo bar. Now I get an error message every time I try to reach a Google search page.? Yes IE7 crashes every time I try to open a Yahoo or Google search page. I have followed Computeractive advice but my 'Hosts' file appears not to be corrupted. I can still access Google earth , but not Google maps or Video, pages I once used on a regular basis. Ask works beautifully ( with binoculars), until I search for Google! Any help would be appreciated. TIA C

Hello, as you probably know their was a earthquake in kent this mornin. How is this? my geography is pretty basic(well non existent), i thought that earthquakes happened when the friction between 2 techtonic plates grows to a huge amount and they slip. causing a ripple though the top of the earth! I checked out techtonic plates maps on a yahoo search and their are none anyway where near the dover coast

If theres no God, how can science explain existance?
I want to create a Google Map and Upload it to my Magellan GPS. I also want to distribute that map (free)? The software that comes with the GPS device is pretty basic. It seems like it only has major highways on it. The route I am creating is part on-road part off-road. National Geographic provides TOPO maps but they are expensive and really don’t fill the bill either since I need streets in my map occasionally. With Google maps (or Yahoo maps for that matter) I could use the satellite imagery to help me create the route, but then I want to upload the finished route to my GPS. It would be a plus if I could then post the route I make on a website. The GPS is a Magellan Triton 500, if that makes any difference. I am reluctant to spend another couple of hundred on software packages only to find they don’t help. I've used Google Earth too, but again don't want to get into the premium service. There has to be a way to create this easily without spending more than time.
