Where online can I find maps of the US in different languages, with place names labeled in other languages? I'm extremely curious to see specifically what placenames on a US map, or better yet place names in individual State maps look like in Japanese. I want to see what place names in the US, like city names look like in Japanese. I'm extremely curious to see what some place names look like in that language. I'm particularly interested in seeing State maps for Oregon, California, Georgia and Florida in that language if anyone knows where I might be able to find them! Thanks!
How to get Europe maps onto a Garmin Nuvi 255 (US)? I have a Garmin Nuvi 255 with the pre-loaded US maps. I live in Germany now, and do not want to purchase a new unit just for the maps. Can i download US Maps onto my UK TomTom One? Im going to holiday to florida next year and i was wondering if it is possible to download US or just florida maps onto it. I know the UK maps take up quite a bit of space so i dont know if there will be enough room for the US maps as well will i have to delete the uk maps and reload them back on when i come back? how to get european maps on my US spec Audi q5? I just ordered my 2010 Audi Q5 which is also US spec. I am in the military and we will be shipping this back so that is why we ordered US spec. The issue is that the navigation system has US maps and we live in Germany. Has anyone else ever ran into this issue? if so, what was your solution? We have a separate GPS but we'd rather use the gorgeous built-in system.
Is there a program I can buy similar to Google maps that can plot points of addresses I enter on a US map? I am trying to plot about 300 distributors' addresses around the US. I want to be able to enter their address and then have the point saved. When the point is clicked on, I want their address, phone, etc. to pop up. Google maps works great - but I need this to last forever - not just a short period of time. I also have to be able to send it to others. Any ideas?

Downloading TomTom maps from the US for a UK G730? Hello, Probably a very dumb question, but I have a TT Go730 and am going to Florida later in the year. I see that it is cheaper to download USA maps from the US website, so my question is, will the US maps work OK in my UK 730? I suspect they will, but thought I'd ask anyway. Are there any map websites that show municipality borders for US cities like color paper city maps do? I need to be able to easily see the various city boundaries for metropolitan areas of the US, but I only have paper city maps for a few metro areas. Why do the maps show us that people who live near cities vote blue, and pretty much everyone else votes red? I am interested in legit answers, not rants. I really do want to know if someone has a real answer. There must be something we can say here, based on reality, not opinion. I have lived in cities, small towns, suburbs and in farm country. Where can I get electronic maps of areas within Thousand Oaks of California, US? I'm asking because here in the UK, we can obtain electronic versions of maps of areas in the UK itself, and I was wondering if there is an equivalent over in the US. More specifically of the state of California. The information that I require is therefore where to find maps within the US, that can be used to generate Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings. Where can I find good lake depth maps in the US? I would like to print off some maps where it would tell me the depth of any lake depending where I am on the lake. Why arent US territories usually on US maps? I was looking at how many territories the U.S. has: Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and the Virgin Islands. Since they are U.S. territories how come they usually arent on any U.S. map? Also can someone tell me if the people living in these territories have the same rights as a citizen living in a state. Where can I find a website that has maps and driving directions from US to Campeche, MX? My husband and I plan on going to visit his family in mexico in 9 months and plan to drive the whole way. Why don't they show us the weather on our GPS maps in our cars? I don't think this would be difficult, and you could even make it an option that could only be activated when you pull over and park. It could just give you a current weather satellite map.
Why do so many maps of the world have the US States all colored when the rest of the countries are all plain? No sign of provinces or states in Canada, Australia, etc. True even of some globes I have seen for sale in stores in Canada.

Where can I find US Geological Survey maps of (nutritional) mineral deposits.? I heard a discussion based on their map of selenium deposits, where it was mentioned that maps exist for many other minerals. If the minerals are not in the soil, they're not in the food, and simply being organic cannot overcome this. I'm curious as to the correlation of soil mineral deficiencies to certain medical conditions. It would take a LOT, but the consequences of too little selenium far outweigh those of too much. Vitamin supplement are worthless only if you are not deficient. And who can say that? I was there, but finding what you are looking for is another story. I figured someone might be able to give me a shortcut.

There was a study about students not being able to find the US on a map. What is the % of students and grade? I rember hearing about a study done on students where a certain precentage of them (i think around 50) that couldn't find the US (or their state) on map. I can't remebre the detailes about what the percentage is or what grade the students were in, or anything else for that matter. Does anyone remeber or know of a link with the info. Thanks.
