I want to add a live MapQuest map to my web page, so users can see the map live on the page, with a preselected location, and be able to get directions, without leaving the page. Is there a way to generate the code? Or do I have to have a master's in rocket science?

I did google directions from my city to Honolulu Hawaii, and it took me to washington state and then told me to Kayak 2756 miles across the pacific ocean to Honolulu :P The total travel time was 15 days and 21 hours. This question is under the premise in which I Kayak across the Atlantic ocean. :P lol, this is all in theory. :P I would like to go the UK but that wont be happening anytime soon. When printing Yahoo maps from directions, I can't zoom in to get only a portion of the route.? In the old version of Yahoo maps, I often zoomed in to see the final part of a route (or a tricky turn) and was able to print the directions with that "zoomed" map. In the new version, even though I zoom in on the main page, when I click "printable version" the resulting map shows the entire route. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you!
Maps and directions website WITHOUT interstates? I am looking for a website to get maps and directions for an upcoming trip. I would like to avoid the interstates. Both Yahoo and Mapquest have an "Avoid Highways" option, but it does not seem to work. I live in Roanoke, Va., and going to Pensacola, Fl. U.S. Highway 29, not an interstate, passes about 30 miles to the east of where I live, and ends at Pensacola, which would seem like the most logical route. However, both Yahoo and Mapquest show going over 200 miles west into Tennessee and then south on a series of 3 or 4 interstates. If there is no known "interstate free" websites, perhaps someone is familiar with my general travel plans. Can I take US 29 all the way, or will I, at some point, have to get on an interstate for at least a few miles? Is US 29 broken up at some point?

I have difficulty remembering directions and maps. ? I have lived in the same city since birth but still at the age of 26 I have difficulty in remembering the directions to a place. I get all confused about how to reach a place even though I might have visited that place often. I am able to remember half the route but then get lost. Is this normal? If it estimates my highway trip to be 3 and a half hours, is it under the presumption that I'm going 65? Why does your MAPS always give longer by miles and longer by time directions? I just got directions from your Maps site and from Mapquest. Mapquest gives me 1097.82 miles for 17 hrs. 37 mins. to go from my house to my sons house. Your Maps gives me 1205.5 miles for 19 hrs. 39 mins. Your site is not the most direct. Why? Go back to your old MAPS FORMAT it was alot easier.
Once you've clicked & dragged to adjust your route on Yahoo! Maps, how to get directions to match the screen? Racking my brain here, it seems odd that you can change the route, and that Maps is smart enough to offer a mileage comparison between the two routes - but it won't update the directions, send the new route, etc. Is this a bug or have you found a way to get Maps to acknowledge the new route?
