How can I find the address of a specific property in Corsica which I can identify on an aerial map? Specifically, I'm trying to track down the owner of a property in Campomoro, Corsica, France. It's a rental property, I had the contact details of the owner and have now lost them. No luck with the tourist office and now at a loss as to what else to try.
Are there other free aerial views/ maps besides Google? Can we see aerial views or maps with dates for property boundary purposes? For the UK and free.
Does anyone besides me want an aerial photo of their property? Does anyone besides me want an aerial photo of their property? I have the most beautiful living fence---leyland cypress spaced 10 feet apart down about a 250 feet stretch. This is also my windbreak from the north, and I love those trees--yea tree hugger-not. but I do love to walk and look at each one-make sure it is doing fine. On google map it is great. I worked so hard to plant. It took me 3 plantings--I have so many rabbits--they ate up my first 2 trys. Sad part this hot summer -8 died, and digging up the old tree was hard work. I initially planted them in the pouring rain, and the hole half filled with water by the time it was dug. Anyways, I am so happy, the ones that the drought killed r replaced. This wednesday may be raining and I can kill the grub worms and ants I found in the new holes.........HOORAY! question? would anyone want an aerial photo of your property? go me it is like 3D......and I have to imagine how it will look from the air before I even plant.
Where can I find maps of land plats with aerial views & addresses in Liberty county Texas ? I want to find the addresses to properties & who owns them
I need to find a satellite map of a piece of property in Maine. I have the lot number, but can't find a ma... I need to get an fairly detailed view of a piece of property in Van Buren ME zip 04785. It's truly rural up there and the deed says it's lot number 69 bordered by Alexander Rd. Any clues? It also says that it right of way access is from Desgardins Rd and Cyr Rd, but there doesn't appear to be those ROADs in that town. Cyr Ave (not road) is nowhere near Alexander.... So I'm befuddled. The property is up for sale and the buyer wants to know how much timber has been cut since I last saw it.... like 20 years ago. The buyer is out of state, too. Any suggestions? Google virtual maps, yahoo, etc can't seem to locate the roads and I want to email the potential buyer a satalltite or aerial photo.
The most accurate way to uniquely locate and bound a parcel of real property is to use? a. an aerial photograph. b. a topographical map. c. a full legal description. d. latitude and longitude.
What is most accurate in determining my property line between me and my neighbors house? I bought a plot of land and then put a modular house on it. All of my papers say that my property is 100' wide. My house is put in the middle and is 56' wide with an attached garage of 20' wide. This leaves 24' left over with 12' on each side. The neighbors on one side of me put up a fence and had their land surveyed last year and their lot line is 11'9" from my house, only 3" off of the expected 12' space. I should then be able to measure 100' from that lot line on the side of my house which was surveyed by those neighbors to the other side of my house to get an accurate lot line on that side. When I do this, my lot line ends up 12' from my house on that side which is consistent with all of the measurements. In addition, the county has an aerial view of all properties and this shows my house is built exactly in the middle of my land, the lot is indeed 100' wide and I have 12' on each side of my house. I also have my house plans from the builder showing all of this. Everything measures out no matter how you look at it but my neighbors said that they had a survey done 15 years ago and they have 15' of property on the side of their house, from the side of their house to my property line, but between our two houses there is only 25 feet of land and with their 15' and my 12' there should be 27' of land. Since I put up a fence, they said that I am partly on their property. I do not feel as though I am but just to be neighborly, I put the fence only 10.5' feet from my house on that side. They still mow inside of the fence lines in my front yard and even mowed down to the dirt, almost, right next to my fence. I suppose they are trying to tell me that that is their property. I am willing to move my fence if indeed I have encroached upon their property but I don't believe that I have. I also do not believe that the builder, who is the same for both lots and for both houses, sold the same 2' or so of land to both of us. I can't afford a survey right now but will I need to eventually have one done? What is more accurate, a survey, or all of my papers and pictures and the county aerial view map, which I heard can be off a little but on the side of my house where my other neighbors had it surveyed, the aerial view and lot lines are right on and agree with their survey on that side so I am assuming the other side in question should be accurate. Any suggestions on what is most accurate? And, I also have a guaranteed title and all of that other stuff that goes along with buying land and a house, etc. Is the survey possibly off? Is this common? The 3 inches is not a concern to me. That is the side of the house, let's call it side 1, where the neighbors had the survey done last year and I feel is accurate enough. So, shouldn't I be able to measure over 100' from that line on side 1 to find my property line on side 2, which is where the concern is? And, although there is no guarantee that my house was put exactly in the middle, it does appear that it was placed in the middle within a few inches based on the survey of side 1 because there is 11'9" from my house to my property line on side 1 and since my property is 100' wide, my house & garage is 76 feet wide, that leaves 12' on each side of my house . On side 2, we have the discrepency. I say I have 12' from my house to the end of my property on side 2. My neighbors on that side say they have 15' of land from their house to my property line on side 2 based on a survey they had done 15 years ago. How can that be when there is only 25 feet of land in between our two houses
My backyard neighbor keeps mowing part of my yard that they think is theirs? How should I tell them to stop? When we moved into our home over 4 years ago we were told by our back yard neighbor that the lot line stops at two large trees in OUR yard and not at the ditch that seperates our yards. We are on 1/3 of an acre and they have just about 2/3... I located the pins in our yard and have an aerial map (that I know is NOT a legal document) that shows outlines that the lot line stops at the ditch line. What would be the proper verbage to tell (ask) him to stop mowing our lawn from the ditch (that he has to travel over to get to our trees) to the trees? And I believe it is the brother of the lady that lives in the house (which we have never met, btw). They only mow about 4 times during the summer (we live in WI) but we mow 2-3 times a month and when he does mow, he cuts it so short that it burns the grass. I just don't want him to be able to claim our portion of the yard and am just tired of him mowing it when it really is our yard. Yes, it is kind of him, but he thinks it is his property.
Would I be violating any federal, state or local laws if I did the following? The tax appraiser for my county has aerial maps attached to their website, where one can view their property as it's seen from the air. I believe they update these photos every few years, likely reviewing them to note if any new structures have been built on properties, thereby assisting them in identifying which properties need to be taxed more. I have a large yard and I was thinking of planting bushes in a configuration that would spell obscene words that would be viewable from the air, but not the ground. Would this get me in trouble if it made it into the next set of aerial photographs?
What is the best website to view close-up maps, topo maps, etc.? I'm looking for the best site to get an aerial photo of our rural property.
bought a house and 2 lots it was on, sellers agreed on the offer we made if they kept the third lot.? They now have this lot for sale and according to the lot dimensions part of our house and driveway is on the lot they kept. We did not have a survey done but did go through a title company and paid them. I have found an aerial map online with the lots marked out and it is obvious that the property line runs through our house. What can we do.
Can I fence in my property? I live in a semi detached house which I bought 3 years ago. To the rear of my property another semi-detached block of 2 houses which sit at right angles to my property were being built when I moved into my house...the gardens of both the properties, which are very long and narrow, run parallel to my back garden. I received a letter last week from a solicitor acting on behalf of the developer...it stated that due to a land registery query the developer is unable to register the 2 new properties...they are asking for my consent to change what they call an 'established boundary'. They enclosed an aerial photo marked with where they want the new boundary to be and the boundary runs along a fence that I erected last summer at the end of my garden. ( my garden is tiny by the way...only 25ft x 18ft and I live in a rural area!). There was a low, rotting fence there before which my neighbour told me the builders of the 2 properties had put up, as I have small children I replaced it for safety....... Also enclosed in the letter was a map indicating where the official boundary of my property is.... I got one hell of a surprise when I saw that the map shows that a good portion of both the gardens behind me actually form part of my plot!. this amounts to a plot over twice the size of my garden as it stands!....I went to the land registry and paid for a sealed and certified copy of my folio and lo and behold the extra land is registered as belonging to me and of course there is a charge attached to this land for my mortgage. The neighbouring house in my semi-block got the same letter and they have discovered too that they have more land than they realised. So what should I do next....Can I fence off the land that Is mine?....if I do these houses have little or no garden left and cannot access their oil tanks......One of the owners of the houses knows the situation and has a solicitor involved. So where do you think I stand legally....Im not interested in selling as I would love a bigger garden as we have never had room for swings et. my shed, washing line and oil tank take up most of the room. I live in ireland
I am in search of aerial pictures of western NY state.? I am familiar with several sites including: Interactive Mapping Gateway, Windows Live Local, Pictometry, Global Explorer, etc. I'm hoping that someone out there knows of any less known sites. With all that's available to me now, I still cannot find a good, recent image of a piece of property that I've just purchased. Satellite pictures are not a good option. The resolution leaves much to be desired. Thanks.
Does anyone know of a site ? Does anyone know of a site where you can get maps of Aerial views of any address you want it to go. I am looking for the ones that look like real photos where you could put in your home address and see the top of your house and your property.
HOW CAN I PROVE BUILDER FAILED TO MEET CODE , BUT THE CITY PASSED IT? Drainage between houses has never met code (1 foot grade 10 feet from property line). Hence we have what is becoming a massive swampy yard problem for several of my neighbors. Of course when asked, the city sent a letter out telling us to "restore the swale to it's original condition,"(which was zero grade at purchase - all new houses) at our own cost. ?surveyor report after built ? aerial/topical maps??
If you were fined $5000 for growing your "own" vegetables, on your "own" land,...would you pay? No,..you read the question correctly. 'A Georgia resident who has been an organic farmer for years is now facing $5000 dollars in fines for growing too many vegetables on his OWN land. That’s right. Steve Miller, who has sold some of his produce at local farmers markets, as well as growing food for himself, is likely the victim of an Online Aerial Invasion of Property.' http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/us-farmer-fined-5k-for-growing-too-many-vegetables/story-e6frfku0-1225921745275 Recent reports of Local & State Officials and Bureaucrats using online mapping software have now become mainstream tools for assessing fines and generating money for cash strapped local & state budgets. Does it seem right that anywhere that Google Maps & Bing Maps can go is legal to use as a source of information. If a person was bathing in their pool, with every expectation of privacy, and someone peeked over a fence, wouldn’t that constitute a criminal offense? Is government today at a point where the end justifies the means? In January and February, when he received his first citations, Steve was able to get the property re-zoned allowing him to grow his garden – a right MOST AMERICANS believe he already had. The Declaration of Independence states one’s inalienable right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Isn’t growing your own personal food supply an exercise of that right to Life and Liberty? No Constitutional Government can assess any fee for exercising these inalienable rights. Are people going to let this FASCIST TAKEOVER to continue – even growing a garden in the privacy of our own personal property be taken away? If the answer is NO – then what are you prepared to do about it? That's right,... WHAT ARE YOU PREPARED TO DO ABOUT IT???? ALL THOUGHTS WELCOME,..AS USUAL. :)
Which of these barns would you choose? Here are 2 barns I am considering boarding at (I provided links to their websites as well as the maps of their location so you can see satellite images of their properties. Just zoom in): I am meeting with the manager of this farm in one week to discuss a possible boarding agreement: http://www.affinityfarm.com/ Satellite image (select "aerial" on the map and zoom in - it's the property with a big pond in the middle) http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Aldie&state=VA&address=41753+John+Mosby+Hwy&zipcode=20105-2503&country=US&latitude=38.94474&longitude=-77.55864&geocode=ADDRESS And if it doesn't work out there, I am considering meeting with the manager of this farm: http://www.angelicarunfarm.org/ Satellite image (zoom in and follow the road south and look to the right until you see a small pasture with some arenas and jumps) http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Vienna&state=VA&address=1927+Hunter+Mill+Rd&zipcode=22182-2804&country=US&latitude=38.932299&longitude=-77.304943&geocode=ADDRESS I ride western, and neither of these places does but that really doesn't matter. I am trying to find a place close to my house, and both of these barns are within 20 minutes from my house! So which is best? I like Affinity WAYYY better, and I am really hoping it will work out!!
What do you think of THIS???? Print view Billions at stake in border contract By Dave Montgomery McClatchy Newspapers PREV 1 of 3 NEXT Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff sees a mix of technology and manpower. WASHINGTON — The Bush administration is expected next month to choose an industry consortium to erect a high-tech security shield along the U.S. borders, launching one of the federal government's most ambitious public-works projects in years. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) calls the proposed Secure Border Initiative Net (SBInet) the "most comprehensive effort in the nation's history" to gain control of more than 6,000 miles of border with Mexico and Canada, and 2,000 miles of coastline. SBInet is a centerpiece of President Bush's efforts to fortify the U.S.-Mexico border at a time Congress is locked in a struggle to revise the nation's immigration laws. Administration officials say they intend to proceed with the security net regardless of the outcome of the debate over immigration legislation. The multibillion-dollar undertaking has ignited a contract battle among industry teams headed by four leading defense companies — Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon — and Ericsson, the Swedish-based telecommunications giant with U.S. headquarters in Plano, Texas. Competitors diverse Collectively, the teams are composed of nearly 40 companies in more than 15 states, a diverse lineup that includes global engineering firms, niche industries adept at biometric identification or surveillance, and aerospace corporations better known for churning out warplanes, tanks and missiles. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a branch of the DHS, is expected to announce a winner by Sept. 30. As envisioned by Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, SBInet would marry industry expertise with the 42,000-employee Customs and Border Protection to create a wall of technology, manpower and infrastructure in the next six years. The initial cost is projected at $2.5 billion, but the price could be much higher. The shield is a dominant component of the Secure Border Initiative that Chertoff announced in November to stem the flow of illegal immigrants. More than 1.2 million illegal immigrants were arrested in 2005, nearly all on the southern border. Although Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Michael Jackson told industry officials the project is "not about simply buying gizmos," much of the attention has focused on the potential mix of technology. Most of the proposals include state-of-the-art sensors, mounted cameras, unmanned aerial vehicles, radar and other surveillance hardware. Calls for toughening the border have intensified with the approach of the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the recent alleged terrorist bomb plot in Britain. But the project has come under heightened scrutiny on Capitol Hill after a congressional report last month blasted DHS procurement polices. The bipartisan report, released by the House Committee on Government Reform, identified $34.3 billion worth of DHS contracts marred by significant overcharges, wasteful spending or mismanagement. The troubled projects include a largely ineffective camera-surveillance system along the Mexican and Canadian borders. Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., complained that SBInet could be exposed to the same problems, contending the DHS is giving industry too much latitude in determining how the system should be tailored. "That's not governing," he said. "It's utter incompetence, and it's going to cost the taxpayers billions." From the bidders' vantage point, SBInet could create thousands of jobs and illustrate the defense industry's expanding transition into homeland security. Tools of war — such as radar and satellite surveillance — easily can be redirected into the campaign to guard the home front, industry officials say. "We see it as an increasing market," said John Douglass, president and chief executive officer of the Aerospace Industries Association. "Many of the technologies that make you a successful aerospace contractor would also make you a successful homeland-security contractor." Several of the team members started preparing for the project more than two years ago, when the DHS was considering a since-abandoned border initiative called America's Shield. Team representatives spent months on the border, and several bidders set up remote border-area test sites to evaluate equipment. Nearly 60 potential bidders expressed interest in the project before the DHS winnowed the field to the five rival teams. Universities in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona are aligned with several of the teams, reflecting academia's growing expertise in homeland security and border demographics. Bidders made oral presentations in the past two weeks and have until Monday to update their proposals. While SBInet bristles with opportunity, the winning team will face immense obstacles in trying to create a leakproof "virtual wall" traversing rugged desert terrain in the south and mountainous, wooded landscape in the north. The challenges probably will include property-rights disputes and environmental issues. Sensors and cameras have been operating along the borders for years; the SBInet team will be charged with building a system tying all the pieces together. In addition to technology, the industry team will provide contract personnel for non-law-enforcement jobs and train government agents to adapt to the new system. Sensors popular item In January, Jackson urged industry officials to be innovative without straying "onto the wacky edge of creativity." Most proposals call for a network of thousands of sensors that would detect movement, sound and, in some cases, odor. The sensor then would flash an alarm on a computerized map in a command-and-control center, where an operator would train a long-range mounted camera on the site to determine whether an animal or a human intruder tripped the alarm. If necessary, agents would be dispatched. Several, if not all, of the teams would augment the protection with unmanned surveillance aircraft and, in some cases, high-altitude surveillance balloons 'alberto" this is a REALITY that IS going to happen!!!! Get USED TO IT!!!!!! DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS>>>>>>>>>> SUPPORT HR 4437!!!!!!!!! Hasta la bye bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
