Yahoo Aerial Maps Knowledge Base
Aerial airport maps? This is one pissed off Marine!? What a crazy thing to publish! Has anyone seen the aerial photos of popular airports on Yahoo's front page today? What the hell is wrong with Yahoo? I am so sick of Americans who give away info that could help terrorists. "Today, the most popular targets for terrorists are.....and this is how they could attack to inflict the most damage......." How do you contact Yahoo to let your opinon be known? I have been looking and trying to find out how to contact them, but they do a good job of remaining "unreachable." Americans remain their own worst enemy. If any of those aiports got bombed, we would be "woe-is-me".....how could that have happened!!!!???? We SHOULD NOT be broadcasting aerial maps that could aid terrorists.
Why are Google Maps aerials of such poor quality? Google seems to get all of the acclaim over their maps, but in reality their aerials are very poor for much of the United States. For example, not a square mile of Ottawa County, Michigan, despite being the 243rd largest county out of 3,141 US counties, can be viewed in high res. Lubbers Stadium, Allendale, Michigan, Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=42.968859,-85.894632&spn=0.02933,0.058365&t=k&z=14&om=1 http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/4842/lubbersgoogleet2.png That is as good as it gets for Ottawa County, Michigan! Same view, on Yahoo Maps: http://maps.yahoo.com/broadband#mvt=s&q1=allendale+mi&trf=0&lon=-85.894713&lat=42.968871&mag=1 http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/1264/lubbersyahoogd5.png Same view, on Microsoft Virtual Earth: http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=42.968953~-85.894761&style=a&lvl=17&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&encType=1 http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/3182/lubbersmicrosoftrz5.p

Satellite/aerial photos new? Hi, does any one know where i can find Satellite/aerial photos that are new between 2007 and 2008 especially in the area of blackburn uk. I know about google/live/msn/yahoo maps.
I found my mother's address, and I want to know what type of home she lives in, any suggestions? I know her full address, zip, city, state, street, but I want to know if she lives in a house, trailer, apt, condo, etc. I am so curious, but she'd never tell me the truth, so I can't ask her. I went to the google maps, mapquest, yahoo maps and tried to do the aerial view, but to no avail. I checked out real estate, but since no one around her is listed, no one came up. She has 6 neighbors, numbers all different. They live on one street, but the numbers are pretty spaced. The address numbers are 905, 507, 316, 560, 703, and one number (728) is used for two people. It sounds like maybe trailers, but I'm not sure, and I'd hate to assume the wrong thing. Anyway, I'd like to visually see her neighborhood and street and surroundings, and the aerial maps don't zoom in that far. Is there anything else I can do?
I need to find a satellite map of a piece of property in Maine. I have the lot number, but can't find a ma... I need to get an fairly detailed view of a piece of property in Van Buren ME zip 04785. It's truly rural up there and the deed says it's lot number 69 bordered by Alexander Rd. Any clues? It also says that it right of way access is from Desgardins Rd and Cyr Rd, but there doesn't appear to be those ROADs in that town. Cyr Ave (not road) is nowhere near Alexander.... So I'm befuddled. The property is up for sale and the buyer wants to know how much timber has been cut since I last saw it.... like 20 years ago. The buyer is out of state, too. Any suggestions? Google virtual maps, yahoo, etc can't seem to locate the roads and I want to email the potential buyer a satalltite or aerial photo.
Saying "Cheese" on a Satellite Map How would I go about finding out when the satellite\airplane taking the aerial photographs that get used on online maps (yahoo, google) is passing over so I can climb to the roof of a skyscraper, look up and wave :)
N. Korea threatens US; world anticipates missile...... How should we handle this? How should we handle this issue?? SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea threatened Wednesday to wipe the United States off the map as Washington and its allies watched for signs the regime will launch a series of missiles in the coming days. Off China's coast, a U.S. destroyer was tailing a North Korean ship suspected of transporting illicit weapons to Myanmar in what could be the first test of U.N. sanctions passed to punish the nation for an underground nuclear test last month. The Kang Nam left the North Korean port of Nampo a week ago with the USS John S. McCain close behind. The ship, accused of transporting banned goods in the past, is believed bound for Myanmar, according to South Korean and U.S. officials. The new U.N. Security Council resolution requires member states to seek permission to inspect suspicious cargo. North Korea has said it would consider interception a declaration of war and on Wednesday accused the U.S. of seeking to provoke another Korean War. "If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all," the official Korean Central News Agency said. The warning came on the eve of the 59th anniversary of the start of the three-year Korean War, which ended in a truce in 1953, not a peace treaty, leaving the peninsula in state of war. The U.S. has 28,500 troops in South Korea to protect against an outbreak of hostilities. Tensions have been high since North Korea launched a long-range rocket in April and then conducted its second underground atomic test on May 25. Reacting to U.N. condemnation of that test, North Korea walked away from nuclear disarmament talks and warned it would fire a long-range missile. North Korea has banned ships from the waters off its east coast starting Thursday through July 10 for military exercises, Japan's Coast Guard said. South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported Wednesday that the North may fire a Scud missile with a range of up to 310 miles (500 kilometers) or a short-range ground-to-ship missile with a range of 100 miles (160 kilometers) during the no-sail period. A senior South Korean government official said the no-sail ban is believed connected to North Korean plans to fire short- or mid-range missiles. He spoke on condition of anonymity, citing department policy. U.S. defense and counterproliferation officials in Washington said they also expected the North to launch short- to medium-range missiles. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence. South Korea will expedite the introduction of high-tech unmanned aerial surveillance systems and "bunker-buster" bombs in response to North Korea's provocations, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper said, citing unidentified ruling party members. Meanwhile, a flurry of diplomatic efforts were under way to try getting North Korea to return to disarmament talks. Russia's top nuclear envoy, Alexei Borodavkin, said after meeting with his South Korean counterpart that Moscow is open to other formats for discussion since Pyongyang has pulled out of formal six-nation negotiations. In Beijing, top U.S. and Chinese defense officials also discussed North Korea. U.S. Defense Undersecretary Michele Flournoy was heading next to Tokyo and Seoul for talks. South Korea has proposed high-level "consultations" to discuss North Korea with the U.S., Russia, China and Japan. ___ Associated Press writers Jae-soon Chang in Seoul; Pauline Jelinek, Pamela Hess and Lolita Baldor in Washington and Min Lee in Hong Kong contributed to this report. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/as_koreas_nuclear/print
